Living out my Scarlett O'Hara dreams in this 1930's beauty.
Mid to late 30's burgundy silk evening gown. Featuring a plume of ostrich feathers in gorgeous rich shades of burgundy and light pink, that is worn off the shoulders. A sweet bow adorns the front of the bodice. The low scoop back has (non-functional) satin covered buttons down the center. Nipped at the waist with a beautiful sweep on the skirt. Metal side zipper closure.
☼ Circa: 1930's
☼ Label: none present
☼ Condition: there is some wear on the satin, as shown in the photos. Most of this is difficult to notice and is located near the bottom and is hidden in the flow of the dress. It also looks much worse on camera with the bright reflective lights. There are some dark stains in a couple of sections on the bottom of the dress, again these are hidden in the folds of the dress when worn and hard to see as the dress is a darker color already. I have not spot treated these. There is also a section of wear on one of the straps, but this is hidden underneath the feathers. One spot that could use a stitch on the scoop back. Lastly, the buttons on the back appear to have been sewn on a bit crooked? These is an easy fix and it took me a while to actually notice this, but I thought I'd point it out anyway.
